CWG Pledges Commitment to Enterprise Resource Planning Solution

CWG Plc, Pan-African Information and Communications Technology company, said it decided to power the Small Medium Enterprise Resource Planning (SMERP) solution, in order to provide a platform that would help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) manage their business operations efficiently.

Speaking on the solution at the NASME/SMERP Product Registration Event held in Lagos last week, Mr. James Agada, Chief Executive Officer of CWG Plc stated that the solution provides functionalities such as accounting management, inventory management, sales and order tracking goods.

“The CWG SMERP is an online based platform, designed and tailored to various SME clusters that would help them to remove the cost of adopting technology as a tool for business growth, as it already comes with functionalities such as accounting and inventory management,” Agada told the participants.

The largest IT integration company in Africa added that the CWG SMERP is a recommended business management tool for SMEs business, stressing that the solution improves business efficiency, cost savings and the same time eliminates manual processes and the possibility of double entry of data.

Agada noted that, With the CWG SMERP, the SMEs is guaranteed a generation of quick

and accurate quotes, submission of bids and launch new products. He also noted that the solution helps the SMEs seek new collaborative methods and technologies to quickly respond to dynamic market shifts, customer expectations, global competition, cost fluctuations and accelerated innovation cycles.

“With SMERP you can organize your products by categories and prices at different point of sales, quickly find products by their name, barcode or description with a built-in search-engine. You can also sell your products with different units and update your stock accordingly,” he emphasized.

Speaking further, Agada reveals that the solution, which keep up-to-date business record for the SMEs, identifies customers, register their email and contact address, adding that it is also designed to register the customer's VAT number and issue them invoices with Tax inclusions.

The NASME/SMERP Product Registration Event was able to give SMEs the opportunity to have their physical and digital products captured. The participants were also trained on how to use the SMERP platform, including the use of Social Media to promote their web shop once they are created.

Going forward, CWG Plc would create all captured SMEs and upload their products to the platform and carry out a quarterly product capture for the members who have not been captured yet.

The company will also create a customized NASME mall as soon as the SMEs start using the webshops effectively and then replicate similar forum for EDC, SMEDAN AND SME business platform.
