Etihad Airways Presents Tickets to Spar ‘Shopper of The Year’ Winner

Etihad Airways presented a ‘Business Class’ ticket to the lucky winner of the SPAR ‘Shopper of the Year’ promotion.

The promo which held at the SPAR outlet in Ilupeju, Lagos on the 25 January 2017, saw the ‘Shopper of the Year’ winner Mrs. Fola Otuyelu, rewarded with two tickets in the airline’s award-winning Business Class cabin, together with two-night’s complimentary stay at a leading hotel in the UAE’s capital of Abu Dhabi.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates in November 2016 announced the partnership with SPAR Nigeria to reward shoppers under its SPAR Reward Card loyalty programme.

The campaign which ran on a monthly basis has climaxed with the ‘Shopper of the Year’ announcement.

Initially, John Goldsmith, Head of Marketing, SPAR Nigeria, said that SPAR reward card customers who spend N20,000 or more in a month and will automatically be entered into a grand finale draw, with the SPAR Shopper of the Year rewarded with an all-inclusive visit to Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital city, including complimentary Business Class tickets and a four-night’s stay at one of the leading partner hotels.

On the other hand, SPAR is the largest chain of hypermarket stores in Nigeria, offering a wide variety of products to the community – with 10 stores located in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Calabar.

SPAR is the first retail store chain to introduce a co-branded Credit Card and Gift Cards. SPAR also became the first chain to introduce a loyalty program under the SPAR Reward Card brand name for its shoppers. Today, SPAR Reward Card boasts of over 300,000 members.

SPAR in Nigeria is a part of the Dutch multinational retail chain, with a global presence of over 12,000 stores in 42 countries across four continents.
