Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, the director general, National Information Technology Development Agency,(NITDA) has said that the need for the utilization of the Nigerian Internet Service Point for proper regulation of the internet service in the country cannot be overemphasized.
Dr Pantami while expressing his dismay on non utilization of the Internet Service point at the Galaxy Backbone headquarters in Abuja said this gave room for many illegal online news, radio and television stations across the country.

Microsoft is cutting 'several thousand' employees, mostly in its sales organization, following a reorganization earlier this week and the number could reach between 3,000 and 5,000 employees.
The news filtered in barely three days after Microsoft announced its latest internal reorganisation.
On July 6, Microsoft officials said they were notifying employees whose jobs were being cut.
One source close to the company said Microsoft would be cutting "several thousands" of employees.
Paradigm Initiative of Nigeria (PIN) said that two new members have joined Advisory Board: Drs Jummai Zainab Umar-Ajijola and Aida Opoku-Mensah.
“Dr Jummai Ummar-Ajijola brings to the Advisory Board her experience spanning three decades, several countries and across both public and private sectors. She is presently the CEO of the Business People (tbp) Limited and was previously the Corporate Social Responsibility Lead for Microsoft Corporation,” the statement reads.
