Visafone has unveiled another innovative and unique product, Visafone Mobile Office, a push email handset and service which according to the mobile phone company will revolutionize the way the busy executive talks and works by giving him the flexibility of taking his office along with him wherever he goes.

The Visafone Mobile Office has all the features of other services in its category like the Blackberry. The benefits and features include: True push instant delivery; low monthly tariffs; fast internet access via CDMa 1x/EVDO 24/7; phone can be used as modem; synchronize email; no synchronization delays; contacts, calendars, global address access; Easy payment for data via recharge cards etc.

The product and service which was unveiled at the company’s mid -year parley with Visafone Strategic Partners (VSP) and other stakeholders joins the company’s bouquet of innovative and value added products and services which include the Share Ur Visa, Visa Chat, Call Me, Credit me, Family & Friends and Visa mobile Chat amongst others.

Thomas Ninan, managing director, Visafone commented on the company’s exponential growth which he attributed to the support of the VSPs and members of the media as well as the company’s strategy. According to him" We have made communication and the tools that enable it affordable and accessible with our low -priced handsets, reasonably-priced data cards and super fast internet connections and wide coverage. We have made staying in touch with friends and family members who live abroad a very affordable delight with our low international call rates."

Ninan Thomas also announced that Visafone is growing exponentially with coverage in 16 states and over 150 cities. Continuing he added that "We have not only covered almost half the states in Nigeria, our subscriber base is aggressively moving towards the 1 million subscriber mark."

Thomas noted that in the 2nd half of 2008, the company will maintain its consumer friendly policies in terms of handset pricing, wide coverage and excellent service quality which have become its hallmark.

According to him ‘we will continue to delight our subscribers with new and fantastic offers focused on spreading the joy of communication as far as it will go.’

Visafone launched commercial operations on February 22, 2008 in 12 states and over 100 cities. The company has grown its coverage area to 16 states and over 150 cities in the past 3 months in fulfillment of its promise to provide Nigerians with a veritable "passport to reach the world."
