The death has been announced of Mrs. Agnes N. Igbo, a community women leader and daughter of the first crowned Eze of Owerri, Imo State.  Madam Agnes Igbo, aged 72 lived her life as a devoted Christian and served as an usher in the House of God.
She will be buried on February 14, 2009 at her hometown Umuororonjo in Owerri Municipal local government area, Imo State. She is survived by many children and grand children among who is Mr. McDennis Igbo of the Courier Regulatory Department, Nipost, Lagos.

MTN Nigeria's ₦620.5 billion capital programme for the first half of 2026 landed alongside a network that crossed 100 million subscribers this week, delivered an average of 14.8 gigabytes of data per user per month, and moved the median download speed on Nigerian networks from 16.5 megabits per second at the start of the year to 20 Mbps by mid-year.
