Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, an ICT solutions company that provides total solutions to its clients ranging from customized applications, connectivity and network security, enterprise solution, content management and collaboration also has solution for messaging and communication.
Spatus Ugiomoh, business development manager of the company   said in the area of customized software development that the company has a lot of software it develops in-house which run in various organizations while in the area of education, Ugiomoh intimated that Jamb online registration is being powered and maintained by Sidmach Technologies even as he disclosed that WAEC/SSCE online registration is also done by the company.  Sidmach in addition has a solution used by secondary and primary schools. Ugiomoh said the solution takes care of everything you can think of in the administration of schools right from registration to the extent that it can generate a report card at the end of each term for each student and it keeps record of everything in the data base. Ugiomoh also disclosed that the company has a school management system that states and the federal government as well as   people who have a lot of schools can use to manage schools effectively and efficiently. This solution (School Records Management Systems) is currently being implemented   in Ogun State in order to create a data base of all the schools, students, teachers and facilities in the state which will enable the government take timely and informed decisions.  The company also has payroll system which the Military Pension Board is currently running even as it has the Human Resource solution called Human Capital Management system developed in-house. It has other solutions for fund management and stock brokers.
Ugiomoh said with the array of solutions in its stable, the company tries to create a niche for itself in the competitive IT market where every body wants to do business.  According to him the company is also HP preferred partner providing solutions in the area of hardware such as computers ranging from desktop to laptop, printers, servers, storage, area network  for their clients.  The company also manages and maintains enterprise servers and storage for various companies across the country. The company is Microsoft Certified partner that does not only provide but deploys and implements all Microsoft applications like in the area of content management and collaboration, messaging and communication.
However Ugiomoh said the software industry still has a problem trying to convince the Nigerian market that good software can be developed by Nigerian companies.  He said the preference of most companies especially the banking sector for foreign developed software is killing the local software industry. According to him, wider use of the locally made software will create more business opportunities for the local industry even as he disclosed that Sidmach Technologies is doing its best to reduce to the barest minimum the problem of pirating its software.
Ugiomoh further disclosed that the company driven by the need to provide value and make life easy for Nigerians has been recognized by the company’s global partners. In 2008, he said that it won the Customer Innovative award from Microsoft.
