MTN HyConnect Fixed Lines go Live in Aba, Kano

Telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria has launched its Internet and fixed line service MTN HyConnect in Aba and Kano, respectively. The launch has ushered the two cities into a new era of cost effective and seamless communication. High speed Internet and fixed lines running on fibre optic technology will now be available to subscribers in their homes and offices in the cities.
MTN HyConnect is a product of MTN Business; MTN's comprehensive range of solutions, focused on assisting businesses to realize their full potential by availing them of an array of productivity-enhancing communications solutions.
 “We are happy to announce that MTN HyConnect is live in Aba and Kano. This is consistent with our plan to systematically extend the benefits of MTN HyConnect services to more parts of Nigeria,” said Derek Appiah, MTN chief Enterprise Solutions Officer.
MTN HyConnect was launched with fanfare in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in August 2009. It has since spread to Port Harcourt, Calabar and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in addition to its launch pad, Lagos.
According to Appiah, everywhere that MTN HyConnect has launched, small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) have particularly embraced it, as it enables them to improve productivity through its reliability and speed.
Appiah said MTN HyConnect Internet footprint would be extended to other major cities in the country before the end of the year.
Commenting on the launch of MTN Hyconnect in Aba and Kano, the company’s Corporate Services Executive, Mr Wale Goodluck said, “We are committed to adding value to the lives and businesses of our people.
