Starcomms Plc, Nigeria’s leading code division multiple access (CDMA) operator in the telecommunication industry has been awarded the ‘Best Customer Aesthetics’ company  at the 10th edition of the Web Jurist award.

The Web Jurist, an initiative of Phillip Consulting, rated the Website of Starcomms high in the telecommunication category of the annual rating exercise, which was done recently in Lagos.

The Web Jurist conducts research into websites of financial institutions and telecommunication companies as a business tool to identify their strengths and weaknesses and to determine the extent to which a website, being a tool in a company's e-business initiative, is successful in achieving the essence of its e-business strategy.

Mr. Foluso Phillips, chief executive officer of Phillip Consulting Limited, Starcomms won this year’s award after soaring ahead of other telecommunication companies in the rating, stressing that, the criteria used in the rating of websites of corporate organisations in Nigeria include aesthetics, technical aspects, web content, customer experience and performance.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Logan Pather, chief executive officer of Starcomms, said it is a thing of joy for Starcomms to clinch the award, stressing that, it is an indication of the fact that the Starcomms brand is occupying a leadership position in the industry.

He said Starcomms has been able to achieve that feat since it has not relented in the use of modern business tools to achieve its goals, saying that “it is a good thing that our website has been given such recognition by such a credible initiative as the Web Jurist. This will only help us to perform better.”

While appreciating the company’s customers for the patronage that enabled it to win the award, Pather said Starcomms would continue to put its website to innovative and creative use to make the use of its services and products exciting.
