Cyberroam to Unveil Virtual UTM for Cloud IT Initiatives

Cyberoam Technologies, prominent IT firewall OEM, is unveiling virtual firewall products to support the new cloud-driven IT initiatives.

Olayemi Popoola, managing director, Reliance Infosystems, said at a pre-event press conference in Lagos that traditional firewall has failed to inherently protect virtual networks and virtual server farms.

He further noted that while the IT industry continues to evolve strategies for cloud-based infrastructure, Cyberoam Technologies is complimenting that initiative by providing the much needed security support for the cloud.

Cyberoam Technologies, in partnership with Reliance Infosystems shall be showcasing cloud security products at the forthcoming Cloud Computing and Datacenter Roadshow where industry stakeholders and IT Directors will meet to discuss best practices in cloud provisioning and its attendant security consideration.

This year’s Roadshow schedule to hold at FourPoint, Lagos on April 24 is organized by the International Data Corporation (IDC). Reliance Infosystems is Cyberoam’s premier partner in Nigeria and West Africa.
