Cortado, producer of the leading virtual printing solution ThinPrint and a pioneer in cloud and mobile printing, has announced it has expanded its solution portfolio with the innovative ThinPrint Cloud Printer.

The newest member of the ThinPrint product line is the first solution on the market that turns any printer into a cloud printer and can be used with all apps and device platforms.

The print job can be started from iPhones, iPads, Android and any Windows devices, TeamViewer, and other remote desktop solutions. ThinPrint Cloud Printer is available free for personal use.

The ThinPrint Cloud Printer app turns the user's preferred printer into a cloud printer, irrespective of manufacturer and model. If the printer is changed, the new printer simply has to be selected as the default device.

For the first time, ThinPrint Cloud Printer combines local printing from a smartphone or tablet with printing from a remote session.

No matter if it's Keynote from an iPad, PowerPoint from a TeamViewer session, or QuickOffice from a Samsung S3, only one print solution is needed.

There are already numerous cloud printing solutions on the market, from niche providers to global players like Google and HP.

However, all these solutions – even if they often claim otherwise – have one thing in common: they only cover certain platforms and scenarios and frequently only work with certain printers.

With the current limitations, if a user gets a new printer or a new smartphone, they usually have to change their printing solution too. It becomes even more complicated when a user has several devices or wants to print with different apps.

The new ThinPrint Cloud Printer overcomes these limitations. ThinPrint Cloud Printer works differently than Google Cloud Print, functioning with all browsers and all smartphones and also as a Windows driver. Unlike HP ePrint, it supports all printers, regardless of the manufacturer. And in contrast to Apple AirPrint, the solution can be used with all apps and all relevant operating systems.

"ThinPrint Cloud Printer is the answer for all users who want to use their favorite or default printer with all their devices," said Carsten Mickeleit, CEO of Cortado AG.

"With complete independence from devices, apps, and platforms used, Cortado is opening up a completely new dimension of cloud printing. Users who don't want to use a specific printer, but instead prefer instant printing in a Wi-Fi network, can continue to use the cloud printing function of Cortado Workplace with a base level of about 6,000 preinstalled printer drivers."

The solution can be used immediately with every ThinPrint Engine and the HTML5 client from Cortado Workplace.

The user can print with all iOS and Android devices as well as Windows PCs, and soon also with Macs. ThinPrint Cloud Printer is directly available for use for 3.5 million existing ThinPrint corporate users as well as 320,000 Cortado Workplace users.

The USD still ranks among the major forces that drive financial markets all over the world. When the USD gains in value, it rarely affects currency pairs alone; it may have implications for commodities, stock market indices, capital movement, and risk appetite.
