Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) will tomorrow hold a-day Corporate Communications Forum in Enugu in line with its determination to accelerate growth of the Nigeria’s telecoms sector. 

NCC had gone even on social media to notify the public on the forum with a theme: “Sustaining Development And Accelerating Growth Of The Nigeria Telecoms Sector Through Effective And Efficient Public Affairs Practice”.

The forum holds at Golden Royale Hotel, Independence Layout, Enugu and the agency said that this is in pursuant its powers from Section 3 of the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA) of 2003.

It is responsible for creating an enabling environment for competition among operators in the industry as well as ensuring the provision of qualitative and efficient telecommunications services.

MTN Nigeria's ₦620.5 billion capital programme for the first half of 2026 landed alongside a network that crossed 100 million subscribers this week, delivered an average of 14.8 gigabytes of data per user per month, and moved the median download speed on Nigerian networks from 16.5 megabits per second at the start of the year to 20 Mbps by mid-year.
