Devcon Alpha Holds Devigners Contest Grand Finale Today

 
The grand finale of the Devcon Alpha Devigners contest organised by Mobile Monday Nigeria in partnership with Microsoft Nigeria, Nokia and Verve holds today in Lagos.
 
Designed to challenge local developers and graphic designers to jointly create locally relevant, visually appealing and commercially viable apps developed on either Microsoft Windows 8 Mobile or Windows Phone platforms, the contest is aimed at encouraging young Nigerians to take advantage of the many benefits existing on the Windows platform to grow the local software economy as well as drive innovation.

These aims align closely with those of Microsoft’s 4Afrika initiative which is aimed at providing Africans with world class skills, access and innovation.

Highlight of the final will be presentation of prizes worth over $300, 000 which is inclusive of marketing support for the winners.
