This annual scholarship fund commenced in 2015/2016 and has already facilitated the admission of 5 students from Borno State into The International University of Africa on full scholarships.

The Scholarship covers all academic fees, accommodation as well as sustenance for all recipients and are awarded to students in financial need of to bridge the gap in funding to further their education.

The scholarships are made possible by Alhaji Dr. Mohammed Indimi through the Mohammed Indimi Foundation in conjunction with Oriental Energy Resources. Dr. Indimi is the Chairman and Founder of Oriental Energy Resources as well as a Board member of the International University of Africa.

The International University of Africa is located in Sudan and has faculties of Education and Humanities, Shariah and Islamic Studies, Pure and Applied Sciences, Engineering and medicine. It admits students from more than 70 countries.

Research about higher education has consistently shown that inadequate financial support deters even the most committed people from furthering their education and making valuable contributions to the economy.

Speaking on the Foundation's recent work, Dr Indimi said; "The Mohammed Indimi Foundation has a steadfast commitment to investing positively and purposefully across Nigeria. We are particularly committed to fostering and supporting the development of education and indigenous technical skills, as a fundamental pillar for long term sustainable development.

We believe that by addressing and acting on the causes of education exclusion in Nigeria, we can increase the opportunities for the youth in the region to further their education and increase their opportunities for a better life."
