World Teachers’ Day Refresher Seminar & Awards Holds in Lagos

World teachers’ day refresher seminar, an event created to celebrate teachers in Nigeria, is set to hold in Lagos in October.

The event tagged World Teachers’ Day Refresher Seminar/Awards was announced by Covenant Educational Consultancy.

The event, according to the Organisers, is designed to celebrate teachers and also bestow them with various awards.

The event is billed to have many Elders in Education Practice deliver insightful talks and plenty fun activities

Topics of the Day include, ‘The place of the teacher in a private School’ – by Prof. Osarenren; ‘From career to stakeholder in the teaching profession’, by Prof. Abiola Awosika and ‘Understanding social media & contemporary language in moving schools forward’, by Sope Olaoye.

Speaking on the event, Foluso Atilola, covener and director of Covenant Educational Consultancy said that this year’s refresher talks are all tied under the theme, “Teacher: The Lifeline of a Healthy Nation.”

She said, “We cannot underscore the importance of Teachers in building a healthy and prosperous nation. We need to give proper attention to our Teachers.”

There will also be a book launch titled “The Professional Teachers of the 21st Century School” at the event.
