Organisers of the annual Beacon of ICT Awards say the remarkable achievements of digital solutions provider, Globacom, earned it the “Most Reliable Mobile 4G LTE Network” and “Most Innovative Mobile Network of the Year” which it won at the 13th edition of the event held in Lagos recently.
According to Mr. Ken Nwogbo, Editor-in-Chief of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, organisers of the awards, “Glo emerged winner in the two categories in an online voting process. Respondents voted for Glo in the “Most Innovative Network” category because of its unique products and value added services such as Glo Berekete, Glo Café and friendly recharge and data plans”.
He added that for ICT stakeholders voting Glo mobile as the Largest and Most Reliable Mobile 4G LTE Network shows that the network is the most consistent data network in Nigeria in terms of value and pricing.
Mr Nwogbo explained that the Beacon of ICT Award was instituted 13 years ago to reward the vision and enterprise of individuals and companies that have contributed significantly to the growth of Nigeria’s ICT industry.
The 2022 edition was held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, with the theme “Impact of Blockchain Technology in a Digitalized Nigeria”. It explored the potential of Blockchain technology to disrupt digital interaction in our economy and society.
