Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) has elected Bimbo Abioye as its new president for the next two years.

He was elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting held yesterday in Lagos.
Other elected council members include; Mrs. Fatumata Soukouna-Coker as 1st Vice President, Efe Emore as General Secretary, Mr. Raymond Osumah as Treasurer; Dr. Uche Mbanaso as Chair, Policy & Strategy Committee among others.
Bimbo Abioye is the managing director of Fintrak Software and was the immediate past 1st vice president of the Association.

In his acceptance speech, he stressed the need to grow and enlarge the Association by bringing benefits and clear value for belonging to the ISPON,
He promised to work with relevant stakeholders to promote software Nigeria as well as to make the Association a Chartered body. He also reiterated the need to create fund for software development in the country through engagement with Bank of Industry and Central Bank of Nigeria.
