Afribank Sets Up Agricultural Unit

Afribank Nigeria Plc has set up a agricultural coordinating office in the Northern Business Directorate to consolidate on its successful agriculture financing to enable it  provide high quality financial services and products to farmers and agro-allied businesses in the North.
The Northern Directorate based in Kaduna will supervise agriculture support initiatives and services of the bank in all parts of the northern states through the newly created agric desk in Kaduna and other five regional offices.
Abbas Jega, executive director, North, said the office will be fully devoted to supporting agricultural development along the agricultural value chain from the farm to the market.
It would engage farmers and agro-allied concerns in small, medium or large scale top execute their agricultural based projects and initiative through easy access not only to the bank’s diverse financial services and products, but agric business advisory services which will be provided by well trained, motivated and seasoned agricultural economists.
By this initiative, farmers involved in agricultural production, processing, marketing and export are assured of the banks customized services which would enable them expand their business and increase their turnover and income.
