Airtel, Nigeria’s leading Telecoms Company has honoured eight of its employees for putting in ten years of sterling service in the company.

At the company’s Employee Consultative Forum (ECF) held recently in Lagos, the eight employees were showered with gifts and special citations for their commitment and loyalty to the company.

Speaking at the event, Segun Ogunsanya, chief executive officer and managing director of Airtel Nigeria, commended the awardees for their dedicated service to the company through the good and bad times over the past ten years.

The CEO, who also encouraged the staff to strive to achieve a healthy work-life balance, used the opportunity to re-assure the awardees and the rest of the staff of the company’s commitment to their welfare, pledging that hard work would always be matched with appropriate rewards.

“It is a thing of pride to see people who have put in ten precious years of their lives in the service of Airtel Nigeria. It is a moving human-interest story and it is the kind of story we wish to encourage in Airtel Nigeria,” Ogusanya observed, and further pointed out that Airtel’s greatest assets were the employees.

The staff who received the Airtel Long Service Awards include: Yetunde Okaro, Vivian Ogunbanjo, Gabriel Afunwa, Ogochukwu Chigbo, Nicholas Aigberua, Babatunde Oginni, Joshua Eru and Titilope Olusanya.
