Following the successful conclusion of the Eye Screening Exercise conducted by Airtel Nigeria in its adopted schools across Nigeria last month, the telco has provided eye glasses for some pupils and teachers who required eye glasses after the screening exercise.
Airtel Nigeria in line with its Corporate Social Responsibilities collaborated with a renowned eye medical firm, Ultimate Eye Clinic, to conduct the Eye- Screening Exercise in its adopted schools namely: St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State; Community Primary School, Amumara in Imo State and Presbyterian Primary School, Ediba, Cross River State where hundreds of pupils, teachers, people from the communities benefitted from the exercise.
At St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, the eye glasses were delivered to the pupils, teachers and some members of the community on Wednesday 7, May 2014.
A monarch, Local Government Chairman and representatives from the State Universal Education Board (SUBEB) were among those who graced the event.
