Airtel Rolls Out ‘SMS 4 Millions’ Promo, Freebies Up for Grabs

Airtel Nigeria, leading telecommunications service provider, has introduced an exciting trivia-based mega consumer Promo aimed at rewarding its loyal customers with millions of Naira over the next 90 days.

Tagged ‘SMS 4 Millions’, the promo is anchored on a point-based interactive SMS system where customers will accumulate points to increase their chances of winning by responding to questions.

The promo, which will run for 90 days, is divided into two categories; the Play for Free and the Premium trivia game.

The play for free offers a cash prize of N500,000 weekly, while the premium trivia which costs N100 daily to participate, offers customers the opportunity to wins mart devices daily and N3m on a weekly basis for the duration of the promo.
Customers join the Play for Free zone when they send the keyword ‘FREE to the short code 53370.

Once activated, they will receive a series of general questions on their phones which they will provide answers to score points.

After exhausting the daily free question capacity, customers are prompted to proceed to the Premium trivia game, which unlocks an unlimited number of questions and offers an opportunity of collecting additional points for higher value prizes.

To move from the lower tier to a higher one, customers would simply answer positively when invited during the game. The users with the most correct answers will have the highest chances of winning the big cash prize.

Announcing the promo, Maurice Newa, chief commercial officer, Airtel Nigeria, explained that the promo summarizes Airtel’s brand promise of empowering Nigerians to realize their dreams and full potentials whilst also offering the platform for communicating with their families, friends and loved ones by providing the latest and most innovative mobile value offerings.

He said: “SMS 4 Millions” will convert a large number of Nigerians into instant millionaires while others will step up the financial ladder with the weekly cash rewards for the next three months”.

According to him, “The promo is based on general knowledge questions and it offers participants the opportunity to win as much as N3m. This is yet another opportunity for the company to create fun and excitement for its customers and also reward them financially and materially for their loyalty to the brand”.

He added that the company has engaged the services of a renowned firm in systems, processes and applications audit, to supervise the draws and prize redemption processes in a bid to further demonstrate transparency and sustain Airtel’s well-known credibility in conducting consumer promotions in line with set regulations over the years.

Speaking further, he advised Airtel customers to be wary of criminal minded individuals who may decide to take advantage of the Bonanza to defraud unsuspecting participants.

He noted that the company does not notify winners by SMS and does not request financial or security information such as bank account numbers or ATM pins as a precondition to redeem prizes.

He urged Nigerians to be vigilant and ensure they confirm any notification on winning from Airtel’s customer care on its toll free line, 111.
