The National Executive Council of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) has announced the postponement of the National dialogue on telecom and ICT sector slated to hold on Thursday, March 26th 2020 over Coronavirus (COVID-19) health concerns in the country.
Olusola Teniola, president of ATCON, in a letter sent to stakeholders on Friday said that a new date will be announced one month ahead of the event.
According to the Statement, “We write to inform you that due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) health concerns, the National Executive Council of ATCON has postponed the upcoming National Dialogue on Telecoms and ICT Sector in Nigeria slated for Thursday, March 26, 2020 at NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja till further notice.
“The decision to move it to another date was taken in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection for everyone.
“The new date shall be communicated one month ahead of the event.
“We regret any inconveniences this might have caused”, the statement concludes.
