Fans of Africa Magic’s hit drama series, Riona and Enakhe, will on Friday, 24 September 2021 watch the season finale of both series after 260 episodes.

Both series which premiered on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151) on September, 28th 2020, have had good runs for over a year. The shows’ ending will make way for two new shows on the channel, Venge and Dilemma, which will premiere on Monday, 4th October 2021.

Viewers of Riona are gearing up for the final war and ‘Aghan’ and ‘Tsema’ fulfilling their destinies as the children of the dark moon. Avid followers of Enakhe, on the other hand, are looking to see how ‘Enakhe’ finally ends up on the show and what happens with ‘Cali’ and ‘Jacinta’.

Over the season, Riona has told a story of a wicked king and a village under siege. Rebellion loomed as the king, ‘Ofotokun’, does all he can to stop a dark prophecy from being fulfilled. Destiny is against him as ‘Tsema’ and ‘Aghan’, two children born under the dark moon, walk a complicated path on their way to fulfil the prophecy foretold. Riona features Elvina Ibru, Najite Dede, Frank Konwea, Amarachukwu Onoh, Maggie Isibor and many more talented actors with theatre backgrounds.

On the other hand, Enakhe was set in modern-day Benin City. It told the story of a rebellious daughter. After the sudden death of her father, she is forced by circumstances to grow in every way possible.

She had to become the leader of her extended family’s criminal empire while contending with physical and otherwise antagonists. The series was shot in Edo with a cast and crew made up mostly of indigenes of the state.

The cast of Enakhe includes notable names like Alex Usifo, Ivie Okujaye, Lancelot Oduwa Imaseun and Lota Chukwu.

Enakhe and Riona as well as the new shows coming to Africa Magic are demonstrations of MultiChoice Nigeria and Africa Magic’s commitment to investing in the Nigerian creative industry and local talents while telling stories that will resonate with the viewers.

Busola Tejumola, executive head of Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice, speaking on the finale of both series said, “These two shows have captivated audiences across Africa for a year.
