Bowill Errands To Hold Annual Lecture

Siyanbola Oladapo, chief executive officer of Bowill Erranda Limited, last week disclosed that the company’s second annual lecture, to mark the third anniversary of the company will be held on October 5, 2010.
“We are poised to make a difference and revolutionize the courier industry through our modest contribution to the growth of the industry and the Nation’s economy. Our commitment to highlight the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats faced by the courier companies together with its palliatives is part of our modest contribution to the development and growth of courier industry in particular and the Nigerian economy at large. It was a wake up call last year to the worldwide challenges on the global economy and the theme last year was “Challenges of Economic Meltdown on Courier Industry in Nigeria”
“The theme for this year lecture is “Opportunities and Emerging Trends in a Vibrant Courier Industry. Seasoned” To make the event knowledge market for all participants,
 Professionals have been invited. Isaac Orolugbagbe,  a seasoned courier practitioner who was the former Managing Director of FedEx and now the Managing Director of SAHCOL shall give the keynote address, while the sub themes shall be handled by: Drugs and Money Laundering in the Courier Industry- Ashiwaju Lanre Ipinmisho, DG. However, he added that Nigeria’s telecom sector of which the courier industry is
 part of, has evolved from being one of the slowest growing sector in the world to become one of the fastest with telephone number rising from about 450,000 to over 8.2
 million in less than four years.
