BSides, a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members, is poised to host cyber-security conference in Nigeria.
Bsides security conferences are held all over the whole world to promote information security.
Speaking on behalf of the Organisers, Mr. Edmond Onwuje, told Nigeria CommunicationsWeek that BSides conference is aimed at expanding the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time.
He said that the Conference scheduled for 22nd of January 2016 at Sheraton Hotels Lagos, will create opportunities for individuals to participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration on how to tackle the growing tides of cyber security.
Onwuje said, “It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening”.
“BSides Lagos cyber-security conference is being convoked by myself as a security researcher; Derrick Lamptey, a software Engineer and Bamidele Akinlaya, a public relation officer.
“The purpose of the conference is to gather all the stakeholders in the Nigerian information security community to discuss and present papers of the latest trend on cyber-security,” Onwuje explained.
He added that the conference is targeted at Security engineers, Penetration testers, Network security Engineers, security analyst, Chief security officers, chief Technology officers and compliance officers.
Therefore, we are calling for papers and the submission will end on 16th of November, if you want to be a speaker for the conference, please kindly submit your paper to [email protected].

He said that the registration for the conference will be opened after the advisory board have selected the papers.
