Senator Bukola Saraki, senate president, on Wednesday announced the leadership composition of the Senate Committees, while giving them oversight functions.
From the list, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari was named the Senate Committee Chairman on Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Senator Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) represents Oyo North senatorial district.
Other committee chairmen include, Agriculture- Abdullahi Adamu, Army- George Akume; Anti-Corruption- Senator Utazi; Appropriation: Senator Goje; Aviation: Uzodinma Hope; Capital Market: Isiaka Adeleke; Culture and Tourism: Urhoghide; Customs and Excise: Senator Aliero; Defence: Ahmad Lawan; Drugs and Narcotics: Senator Lidani; Basic and Secondary Education: Wammako Aliyu and FCT: Dino Melaye.
Others are Finance: John Enoh; Foreign Affairs: Monsurat Sunmonu; Health: Dr. Tejuoso; INEC: Abubakar Kyari; Information and National Orientation: Senator Abaribe; Land Transport: Gbenga Ashafa; Marine Transport: Ahmed Sani; Public Procurement: Senator Ohiare; Nat’l Identity: Kabiru Marafa; Police Affairs: Abu Ibrahim; Power: James Manager; Privatization: Ben Murray-Bruce; Science and Tech: Senator Boroffice; States and LG: Senator Gumel; Trade and Investment: Fatimat Rasaki; Water Resources: Mohammed Shittu; Women Affairs: Oluremi Tinubu and Poverty Alleviation: Ali Wakil.
The 50-year old Senator was a member of the House of Representative between 2003 and 2007 and with legislative interest in appropriation, petroleum, navy, transport.
