Business Connexion Topples Competition, Becomes Leading IT Services Provider

Business Connexion is South Africa's leading IT services provider, according to International Data Corporation (IDC), the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.

Referencing its 'Competitive Profiles and Analysis of Leading IT Services Players in South Africa, 2013', IDC positioned Business Connexion at the top of the list of leading IT services providers, displacing long-time incumbent Dimension Data.

Business Connexion increased its share of the market's value to 14.2% in 2012 thanks to strong annuity-based revenues and an expansion of its service offerings through a number of strategic acquisitions.

The Group also benefited from its ability to execute a range of IT services, from software and hardware support installation to systems integration and Information System Outsourcing (ISO).

Benjamin Mophatlane, Business Connexion's chief executive officer, was quoted by Palesa Madumo, communications manager, BCX Group in a statement saying that the Company is delighted by the rating.

IDC's 'Competitive Profiles and Analysis of Leading IT Services Players in South Africa, 2013' includes vendor market shares by IT services foundation market and vertical market, provides profiles of the Top 10 IT Services providers in South Africa. Analysis in this study is based on interviews with both major IT services providers and end users. Qualitative interviews were further complimented by quantitative surveys.
