Carmudi App Launch Excites Nigerian Auto Dealers

Automobile dealers in Nigeria have showered encomiums on developers of Carmudi application for integrating their lines of business to the internet platform.

Carmudi app available in Andorid and iPhones and vehicle website offers sellers and buyers opportunity to transact business seamlessly.

Speaking at the app launch in Lagos on Thursday, Mr. Maduabuchukwu Akudu, acting president & Legal Adviser, United Baga Motor Dealers Association, told Nigeria CommunicationsWeek that the platform is a veritable way to ensure the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) cashless policy becomes a reality in the sector.

He said it will rob off positively on the automobile value chain in Nigeria, currently characterized by challenges like lack of trust.

Akudu said they are excited about the decision of the developers to launch Carmudi which will bridge the gap between sellers and buyers, increase patronage and deepen e-commerce in the Country.

On his part, Ayobanjo Ibrahim of the Banox Motors & Services, while testifying on the app, said it is transformative and capable of repositioning the sector in the nearest future.

He urged auto dealers who are still entrenched in the conventional business transaction methods to cease the opportunity to embrace technology.

To him, “If any small or medium enterprise would grow in the present age, the place of platforms like Carmudi app cannot be ignored.

“We have tested it and it has proven to be a sure way to interact with customers. Some auto dealers cannot afford to establish customer care desk. That is the more reason Carmudi app will excel in this area”.

He tasked a team of experts at Carmudi not to relent in the efforts to ensure technology is used to tackle fraud and racketeering some people have involved themselves to deprive members of the public.
