CarXie, a new mobile driver-rider app is expected to provide employment for 36,000 Nigerian with the next 5 years.
Chinedu Amadi, Operations Director, Dukan Group, owners of CarXie Taxi Services said this at the launch of CarXie Mobile App and Swift2pay payment platform on Friday in Lagos.
Amadi stated that CarXie when fully operational is expected to provide employment for 36,000 Nigerian within the next 5 years.
He noted that there are three tiers of supervisory partnerships embedded in the CarXie offer to ensure quality and trust.
He added that they aimed at achieving these 36,000 jobs through three partnerships modules, namely the executive partners, the state partners and regional partners
He emphasized that CarXie is designed to effectively solve local problems and challenges Nigerians face when arranging their trips.
“CarXie Mobile App, tested and available in the Google play store and in the very discerning Apples store, comes on board with awesome features that answer a number of Nigerian questions, like will the cab be functional and comfortable with a courteous driver? Can the police or VIO stop and delay the cab (your trip) for particulars? What of the anonymity that is aiding the hydra headed crime that is called kidnapping?
“These Nigerian questions have been addressed by CarXie that is the greatest advantage of a home grown technology design, is its ability to effectively solve local problem.
“CarXie App is conceptualized with features that, among other things, make car theft and kidnapping impracticable.
“A rider is expected to issue his Bank Verification Number (BVN) as a means of social identification and that each vehicle is automatically tracked and voice chats are possible during rides.
“The driver and vehicle verification exercises are so thorough that they yield only courteous and comfortable service.”
Amadi further stated that CarXie will reduce the amount Nigeria loses daily through capital flight to foreign cab companies.
He said “if we are forced by limited access to technology to be dependent on foreign airlines, there is no reason why we should depend on foreign cab companies for our intra/intercity rides.
“At CarXie we have put in place global standards to ensure the maximum satisfaction for the commuter.
“We have also set a code of conduct for drivers based on international best practices.
“We have equipped our drivers and cabs with state of the art technology to deliver timely and affordable services.
“Only cars manufactured from 2008 and above can get registered on CarXie”.
The company also launched an online payment platform tagged Swift2Pay, an easy to use payment gateway that will ensure that only the users online wallet are exposed during transaction.
According to the Operations Director, Swift2Pay has additional features including ATM card, which is an innovation to ensure that Nigerian can move around with a smart wallet.
He added that the launch of CarXie and Swift2Pay is to buttress the saying that you do not light a candle and hide it under the bed.
