CellMax Technologies,a specialist provider of advanced ultra-high efficiency base station antennas, has been nominated for a prestigious LTE Award recognising and rewarding “excellence in LTE”.
CellMax Technologies has been shortlisted for an LTE Award in the category “Best LTE RAN product” for its range of advanced ultra-high efficiency base station antennas for mobile networks.
CellMax’ antenna technology virtually eliminates power losses within the antenna, leading to a dramatic improvement in the base stations’ transmission capacity. With higher signal strength, mobile operators can achieve a significant increase in geographical area coverage, improved indoor penetration, increased traffic, improved data throughput and reduced production costs per call – all without any increase in power consumption.
"We saw some impressive entries this year, some lesser known innovative solutions came out and this year's winners will certainly have earned their place, as the best of the best in their field," commented jury member Sami Susiaho, BSKYB.
“We are honored to again be shortlisted for a prestigious industry award,” said Torbjörn Kämpe, CEO, CellMax Technologies.
“Installing ultra-high efficiency antennas is the quickest and cheapest way to dramatically improve network performance, and I am glad that the telecom industry’s expertise recognizes this.”
CellMax Technologies competes with Samsung Electronics, Spidercloud Wireless, Tektronix Communications and ZTE Corporation in the Best LTE RAN Product category.
The winners will be announced at an awards gala dinner and ceremony at the LTE World Summit – the world's leading 4G event – in De Duif, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on June 25, 2013.
CellMax Technologies recently announced the launch of the world’s best performing multiband antenna platform, offering 2-4 dB higher radiated power on the high band (1700-2200MHz) compared with antennas from other vendors and leading to increases in the data throughput and capacity by 20-40 per cent, a dramatic improvement in in-building coverage and a 50 per cent increase in geographical coverage.
