Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Communications & Public Affairs Manager, West Africa, Google, made the disclosure on Wednesday through a dispatch sent to us in Lagos.

He noted that, “The video by Falz addresses a number of challenges within the Nigerian government, and is, as such, similar to Gambino’s video, which sparked discussions on gun control, racism and violence in America.

“Since the video went viral, it has received positive reviews from inside and outside the continent, making ‘Falz This is Nigeria’ a top trending term.

Nigeria vs Congo friendly match on Monday night was one of the top trended search item on Google, according to Kola-Ogunlade.

“Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, after the match expressed his delight over Nigeria’s friendly match against Congo on Monday which ended in a 1 – 1 draw.

“Rohr said that Monday’s game was a good test for the players, who are set to play the Three Lions of England on Saturday.”

Excited Nigerian fans took to Google to search for more information about Monday’s match.

Kola-Ogunlade, said that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) announcement over the week that it has commenced its nationwide recruitment for positions such as officer cadre, marshal inspectorate (MI) cadre, and road marshal assistant cadre made interested candidates raced to Google to search for more information.

Bisi Kazeem, the FRSC spokesman, says applications for any of the positions can be done through the FRSC website.
