Chidoka Expected at AFARN Aviation Safety Summit
The Association of Foreign Airlines Representatives in Nigeria (AFARN) said it has concluded plans to hold yet another safety summit that would bring key players in the Aviation industry together.
The Aviation summit which will take place on 11th of Dec, 2014 at The Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Lagos, according to the organiser’s, promises to enrich the knowledge of both delegates and stakeholders in the industry.
Chief Osita Chidoka, minister of Aviation, will be the special guest of honour while Capt. Usman Muktar,Director General Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority( NCAA) will deliver the key note address. Dignitaries expected at the seminar include Engr. Saleh Dunoma, Managing Director Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Engr. Abduldasalam Ibrahim, Managing Director Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) including CEOs of Domestic, Regional and Foreign Airlines.
The theme of the summit: ‘’Aviation Safety Management In Nigeria: Evolution Or Revolution?’’ according to Mr Kingsley Nwokoma, President of AFARN would seek to x-ray the progress so far recorded and equally proffer solutions to the challenges in the Aviation industry.
Nwokoma said that theme was carefully chosen to afford stake holders the ample opportunity to deliberate on some key issues necessary for engendering safety growth and development in the sector’’.
