Chief of Defence Space Agency to Speak at #NCSAbuja2016

Air Vice Marshal T.V. Udoh, chief of Defence Space Agency will be speaking at the 26th National Conference of Nigeria Computer Society holding under the theme: "Information Technology for National Safety and Security".

The National Conference will commence tomorrow at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja-FCT, Nigeria to end on Thursday.

Air Vice Marshal T.V. Udoh will deliver a presentation on the topic: "Information Technology and National Security: Counterterrorism Perspective" during a Plenary Session on "Innovation in National Safety and Security".

Udoh, Tommy Victor holds a BSc (Combined Honours) in Computer Science and Economics and two Masters Degrees in Computer Science and Strategic Studies.

He attended the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Nigeria for his Junior and Senior Courses, and proceeded to the National Defence College, Nigeria for the Strategic Course.

He attended many professional courses, seminars and conferences at the United Kingdom, United States of America, China, Switzerland, France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Germany where he recently completed the Program on Cyber Security Studies at Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

He has participated in many national assignments which include: Chairman, National Committee on Cybersecurity Legislation; Board Member, National Identity Card Commission; Member, Presidential Committee on the Production of Masterplan and Roadmap for the Implementation of Information Technology for National Development; Member, Committee on National Integrated Infrastructural Master Plan and Member, Committee for the Design and Implementation of a Centralized Identity Database for Nigeria. Others are Member, Technical Advisory Committee on National Research Development and Innovation Council as well as Member of the Cyber Security Advisory Council.

Currently the pioneer Chief of Defence Space Agency, he has held several staff and command appointments in the Nigerian Armed Forces.

His last two appointments were Director, Information Technology at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force and Director Technical Services at the Defence Intelligence Agency.

According to Mr. Jide Awe, chairman, Conferences, Trades and Events at NCE, the guest speaker has many decorations amongst which are: Forces Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Distinguish Service Star and General Service Star.

He is a member of the Nigerian Computer Society, Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria and the Internet Society of Nigeria.
