Children, Parents Experience Exciting Moments At NickFest 2019
The much anticipated Nickelodeon family festival Nickfest 2019 has come and gone as children and parents were treated to an incredible entertainment-filled experience at this third edition which held at Federal Palace, Balmoral Event Centre on the 28th and 29th September, 2019.
The two-day event hosted by Mannie Essien and Amarachi Uyanne, popularly known as Amarachi Dance, featured some of Nickelodeon’s superstar characters live on stage.
These characters included; SpongeBob Squarepants, Adventure Bay’s intrepid pups, Skye, Rubble Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol, to everyone’s favourite genies, Shimmer and Shine and for the first time performing in Nigeria, The Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Moreso, an exciting bill of performers such as Teni the entertainer, FireBoy, Rema & Patoranking took to the stage and entertained children and parents with some of their family-friendly songs which of course had the whole venue in an endless sing-along.
Celebrity guests such as Davido’s daughter Imade, Tiwa Savage’s Son, Jamil, Noble Igwe, Wizkid’s son, Boluwatife, IK Osakioduwa and a host of others, got slimed several times over.
Speaking at the venue of the event, Alex Okosi, executive vice president and managing director VIMN Africa & BET International, said: “We are indeed grateful that our family-centric TV entertainment content was transformed to an event experience that has brought joy and entertainment to families.
“We have had an incredible show of support from parents and kids year after year and Nickfest in Nigeria continues to gain more fans.

With over 6,000 children and parents in attendance, the venue was transformed into a beautifully lit wonderland with a relaxing ambience created by the Nickelodeon traditional bright orange colour.
The glamour of the event is one of the reasons why it cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
