Cisco in conjunction with Weco Systems hosted customers to a Workshop to deliver to them ways to better enhance their productivity.

The Workshop held last Wednesday at the Oriental Hotels in Victoria Island was the latest addition to the Weco Systems portfolio of training courses.

Obinna Ekwonwa, chief operating officer of Weco Systems in his opening remarks said Cisco and Weco are helping businesses up their games in order to remain competitive and to make sure that customers’ businesses align with key trends.

In his keynote address titled “Cisco Borderless Networks: Implications of Mobility, New devices & New Media, Nnamdi Onyebuchi, head Presales and Architecture, Weco Systems explained that mobility is redefining the workplace as the borders between personal and professional, home and office, device and application disappear.

He said Cisco delivers a borderless mobility experience that gives users access to information and resources they need, adding that Cisco mobility solutions provide the quality and performance that match traditional corporate offices.

Despite current IT challenges caused by market shifts, Onyebuchi stated that the new borderless organization can secure any device, support any location while also ensuring application quality.

The new borderless organisation according to head Presales and Architecture, addresses challenges of increasing complexity, availability, performance, security, manageability as well as cost of ownership.

“Based on borderless network architecture and services, Cisco Borderless Mobility optimizes the mobile workplace with components such as mobility user services, motion network services and borderless access.”

“These services help in accelerating decision making, help employees collaborate real time regardless of their location and also help the mobile workforce better manage their professional and personal lives,” he said.

Bola Adegbonmire, Cisco Architectural Play, centered his presentation on how Cisco IP contact solutions and social media tools can help improve customer engagement and satisfaction.

His presentation was titled “Cisco and Business transformation; Leveraging social media and IP Customer Care solutions.”

Commenting on the workshop, a participant said “In my experience, this is a very personalized event in the industry, which certainly adds to its attractiveness.  Moreover, the format of the workshop itself maybe a bit unusual at first, but as soon as you get a feel of it, it makes more and more sense. What I really loved about it is the focus on key trends and how it affects how it enhances business productivity.

“I found the workshop to be extremely productive and loved the intimate one-to-one appointments” added another participant from the banking sector.
