CNBC AFRICA is to honour the Late Tayo Aderinokun (Former MD, GTBank), Funke Opeke, Chief Executive Officer, Main One Cable Company and other prominent Nigerians at this year’s All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA).
The final ceremony of the awards will take place at the Vodadome in Midrand, South Africa on Thursday, October 25.
The awards, which are being celebrated this year in the different regions of the continent, will honour winners from West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa.
The late Aderinokun was nominated posthumously for Lifetime Achievement Award while Opeke was nominated for Business Woman of the Year.
Other Nigerians are also in the running to pick awards from different categories.

Other finalists nominated in other categories are Business Leader of The Year sponsored by Telkom: Phakamani Hadebe , CEO, Landbank, James Mwangi, CEO, Equity Bank and Mitchelle Elegbe, CEO/ MD, Interswitch.
In the Entrepreneur of The Year sponsored by the IDC: Jannie Mouton, CEO, PSG Group, Vimal Shah, CEO, Bidco Group and Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi, CEO & President, Nestoil were nominated.
On the Young Business Leader of The Year Category, Jack Kayonga, MD, Rwanda Development Bank and Elikem Nutifafa, MD, Oxford and Beaumont, were nominated Jennifer Barassa, CEO, Top Image Ltd, was nominated alongside Funke Opeke in the Business Woman of the Year category while Lauritz Dippenaar, Non-Executive Chairman, Firstrand and Manu Chandaria, Comcraft were nominated alongside Tayo Aderinokun (Former MD, GTBank) for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
