CompexAfrica is organizing a strategic Business Exit forum to discuss and share the importance of business exit-planning, buying and selling.

Top experts will be speaking on the importance of how to plan your exit strategy and how to effectively manage the process of exiting and acquiring a business.

Speaking on the forum which comes up on Friday this week at Landmark Center, Victoria Island Lagos, Ifeoma Uddoh, COO Sasware said, “The truth is that business owners will some day stop running their company. Therefore, it is important for entrepreneurs to have an exit-strategy to help maximize the value of their company before that time comes.”

The 4-hour Forum which starts by 12 noon will focus primarily on; business owners, potential buyers, sellers and financial/legal advisers. Participants will be educated on key exit strategies, understanding how to prepare your business for sale – and when to sell it, considerations in buying a business, the psychology of change in orientation of business ownership and other issues surrounding the decision to either buy or sell a company.

Speakers lined up include; Damilola Aloba, associate director, Transaction Advisory Services, Ernst & Young, will talk on “Preparing your Business for Sale”; Ikechukwu Ubahakwe, Partner, Astute & Young will look at ‘Legal Aspects of Buying an Existing Business’; and Collins Onuegbu, Founder/Executive Vice Chairman of Signal Alliance and Director Lagos Angel Network. 

Onuegbu will discuss why the business ecosystem in Nigeria needs more exits.
