EduSocial, a mobile learning package has been officially launched by Covenant University, in compliance with the global trend on digital learning.

In partnership with Softcom, an IT company, the university has initiated a mobile learning platform, for both its students and staff.

The launch took place at the University chapel after one of the university’s weekly chapel services.

Mr. YomiAdedeji, managing partner of Softcom, who is an alumnus of the university, after giving a short overview on the features of the application package, expressed his delight at being able to partner with the university on the mobile learning project.

This project, in addition to the university’s distribution of Samsung tablets to its students last month, is aimed at expanding the mobile learning opportunities of its students.

According to Prof. Charles Korede Ayo, vice chancellor of the university, said that through this initiative, the university had harnessed the features of the social media in the learning environment.

He, alongside other key members of the university’s management, the CEO of Softcom and student ambassadors of the company posed for official pictures to close the launch.
