CWG Bags VMware Solution Provider of the Year

Computer Warehouse Group Plc (CWG) has been recognized as the Solution Provider of the Year and Renewals Partner for the Year in the entire West East and Central Africa (WECA) at the annual VMware Channels award ceremony recently held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The award ceremony was organized by VMware, CWG’s Original Equipment Manufacturer partner, to recognize the dedication of her partners, acknowledged for outstanding achievements in sales, performance and customer satisfaction every year.

According to the company, “The VMware Channels Award is to celebrate outstanding partners and the continual investment they make in developing their skills and capacities in order to better support VMware customers.”

Speaking at the grand event held in South Africa, Mark Reynolds, Head, Partner and General Business Lead, VMware, said that the awards portrays that “VMware appreciates the critical role  partners play in helping its customers move to the cloud, embrace the software-defined Data centre and plot their path to the hybrid cloud.”

CWG received the recognition alongside 16 other prominent peers across the continent. These include foremost global technology outfits IBM, Royalty OEM Partner of the Year (WECA);  HP, as Royalty OEM Partner of the Year (South Africa), Dell as the highest Revenue contributor of the year (South Africa), Ubuntu as the outstanding OEM reseller (South Africa) amongst others. CWG, however is the only IT firm from Nigeria that was recognized.

The awards add to CWG’s repertoire of recognition for stellar performances over the years. Recall that the company was recently named a Global Growth Company by the World Economic Forum; she has been recognized as the Best Absolute Achievement Award in P & MEA; the ICT Solutions Provider of the year, ICT Company of the year, by national and international key industry players and observers and the CEO recently named ICT Personality of the year.
