The Developing Eight countries (D8) has commended the efforts of Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, CBN governor for his unrelenting efforts in promoting D8 activities by ensuring that members share and benefit from the experiences of respective countries.
Presenting the award, Dr. Sayed Ali Mohammad Mousavi, secretary general of the D8, noted that such efforts have assisted member countries in harnessing financial and economic opportunities, which is the objective of the cooperation among the central banks.
Those present at the brief ceremony were IbukunOlatidoye Nigeria’s permanent representative at the D8 Mission in Istanbul, Turkey; Ambassador Hussein Abdullahi, director, Multilateral Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Moses Tule, director, Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and a host of other CBN executives.
