D-Link Among First to Attain TR-069 Certification
D-Link has announced that it has received the new BBF.069 CPE certification launched by the Broadband Forum, indicating that the DIR-835 implementation of D-Link’s CPE router platform complies fully with the TR-069 standard for remote management.
D-Link is one of the first networking solution providers in the world to be so recognized.
TR-069, also known as CPE WAN Management Protocol, is used globally to provision and manage the connected home.
As the number of broadband subscribers, applications, devices, and services continues to grow strongly worldwide, and a mass market for broadband emerges, the BBF.069 certification was developed by the Broadband Forum to help establish a foundation of interoperability for continued innovation in connected home services. BBF.069 certification testing is handled by the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), an independent laboratory, under its Home Networking Consortium.
“The market adoption of TR-069 is showing explosive growth, with dramatic uptake of services like IPTV and deployments of FTTx and FTTh. In this fast-changing global landscape, we are delighted to be recognized with BBF.069 CPE certification,” said Harrison Albert, Regional Director at D-Link Middle East & Africa.
“It confirms that D-Link CPE devices meet operator and service provider requirements for interoperability with their remote management auto-configuration servers. As a result operators and service providers can choose D-Link CPE devices with confidence,” Harrison continued.
