Mr. Biodun Onayele, director general, Lagos State Records & Archives Bureau (LASRAB), has sought for assistance of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) on Records Management and the need to establish strategic partnership with the Organized Private Sectors on best practices in records and archives management.

He sought the support when the delegate from Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company headed by Mrs. Helen Nwaobi, head, Document & Records Management, Sub Sahara Africa, accompanied by Mr. Austin Uba, Librarian visited the Bureau to create strategic working relationship.

Onayele expressed delight on the visit of the team from SNEPCO and briefed the team on the activities and operations of the Bureau since inception.

He explained in details the special features of LASRAB as an archival institution and the types of records in the holdings of the Agency for preservation.

He further highlighted the areas in which the Agency needs the support of SNEPCO which included capacity building, donation of archival materials on Lagos as well as support on records and archives management equipment.

Rounding off the visit, Onayele, led the team on facility tour of the Bureau such as Digital Archives, Reprography, Reference Library and Mini Museum.
