easyservices, in partnership with Senhasegura, global cybersecurity vendor, last week in Lagos hosted an event with the theme “Building your Digital Sovereignty ”
The event held at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Ozumba hotel, in Mbadiwe Victoria Island, Lagos.
Talking about digital security can drag on for hours and hours, since the subject is as wide-ranging as the protection mechanisms offered by the market. But when it comes to a niche, it is much simpler to understand and evaluate processes.
This chief information security officer (CISOs) oriented meeting was organized to discuss about the recurrent challenges of corporate systems protection through Privileged Access Management (PAM) technology, especially in times of pandemic, remote working, and digital convergence, according to Mr. Alex Mejeh, MD/CEO easyservices
Mejeh further added that the increase in web surfing brings with it the growth and enhancement of cyber-attacks and intrusions, as evidenced by Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report 2021, in which 61% of data leaks involved privileged credentials.
Mr. Kolawole Sunday, chief information officer for VDT Communications, one of the attendees of the event , said ,“Privileged Access Management is not new technology. A cyber solution based on the strategy of access control and privileged permissions to users, systems, and machines within an organization’s corporate environment. It is key that organizations begin to look in this direction if they already haven’t”.
Mr. Filipi Pires, a cybersecurity advocate, writer, and security researcher for Senhasegura spoke on the functionalities of PAM while Mr. Vinicius Negrisolo and Mr. David Muniz discussed more on the Zero Trust model and market trends.
Senhasegura is a global cybersecurity vendor with a presence in over 55 countries based in São Paulo with the simple goal is to promote the right to security, prosperity, and independence of all institutions.
