The newly formed Direct Mailing Practitioners Association of Nigeria, DMPAN has received the backing of the Honourable Minister of Information and Communications, Professor Dora Akunyili.
Speaking when, it’s Council executives led by it’s President, Mr Rotimi Olaniyan were introduced to the minister by Alhaji Ibrahim Mori Baba, the Post Master General of the Federation, Professor Dora Akunyili said that she was delighted that the private sector was teaming up with the relevant arms of government to promote the development of the appropriate communications infrastructure in Nigeria.
The Association which has been established as an interest group to promote the development and self regulation of the Direct mailing communications industry in Nigeria, is open to all practitioners and stakeholders in the Direct Mailing and database marketing industry.
While thanking both the Honourable Minister and the Post Master General of the federation for their support, the council’s President, Mr Rotimi Olaniyan, revealed the practitioners’ readiness to contribute their own quota to seeking the appropriate solutions to the challenges facing the sector in paramount areas such as a National Addressing policy, the aggregation and ethical utilization of national consumer databases, as well as the overall growth of commercial mail volumes in the country.
Both the minister and post master general were invested as patrons of the association.
