Moses Imayi, Co-founder/CEO, Edufirst has said that they are poised to change the narrative of Nigeria’s education sector through the adoption of digital learning in Nigeria’s curricular.

He stated this on Thursday at the Education First Media Parley organized by Edufirst and Skool Media, in Lagos.

Imayi noted that they are poised to reinforce the need for quality education in Nigeria hence their decision to embark on the campaign to raise the standard of education in the country.

He said that Education first Nigeria is a technology driven organization aimed at bridging the gap and enhancing the standard of education in Nigeria.

According to him, “Edufirst.ng being a technology driven organization is focused on bridging the gap and enhancing the standard of education in Nigeria while advocating for an all-inclusive education system.”

He added that education first Nigeria’s key advocacy drive is on the need to use digital learning in the Nigerian curricular and reinforce the need for quality education in the country.

“We are driven by three core values: Excellence – to provide reliable and consistent information through the use of ICT innovation because we have a passion for the development and growth of the Nigerian child through quality education.

“As part of our commitment to an improved education for all, Edufirst will be embarking on a campaign themed ‘raising the standard of education in Nigeria’.

“The campaign aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 which ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning for all,” Imayi stated.

He called on the media to join hand in glove in ensuring that Nigeria’s educational space is scaled to where it’s supposed to be.

Idris Oladipo, Country manager, Edufirst, speaking at the media parley said that there is need to invest in education to save the lives of over 13 million children who are not in the classroom in Nigeria, adding that education will help safeguard their future.

He noted that education remains an important resource in the national development of any country.

Oladipo revealed that Edufirst.ng is committed to drive digital learning in the country, adding that they have prioritized education as its core focus.

He added that they hope on leveraging on the media and other social influencers in the society to stem the tide of literacy in the country.

Tosin Omoyajowo, Executive Director, Connect Marketing Services, urged Nigerians and participants to clone Imayi’s passion for education and become advocates of education in the country.

He noted that technology drives education more than anything now in the world, while calling on other organization in the country to participate in this noble course.

According to him, “Nigerian kids are everywhere on the road wandering instead of being in the classroom.

“The generational effect of not educating a child today can only be imagined.

“A child who is raised as an area boy at motor part would give birth to area boys and the cycle of poverty continues.

“Only direct qualitative education can break such generational cycle of poverty and ignorance”.

He applauded Skool media’s initiative as a game changer, adding that Connect marketing will stand with them in this campaign.
