Edumark has garnered the best SME Company of the year at the 2016 Sustainability Entrepreneurship & Responsibility Awards (SERAS) held in Lagos at the weekend.

The award comes in recognition for the good works the organization has done through her several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Prominent amongst those programs is the “We Are the Future of Our Nation” (WATFON).

Through WATFON, over 20, 000 secondary school students have been trained and mentored by thought leaders across the country.

The over a decade program has drawn participation from leaders such as: Dr Yakubu Gowon, Late Sir Gamaliel Onosode, Sir Emeka Anyaoku, Chief Ayo Oni, Chief Folake Solanke, Professor J.P.Clark, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, Professor Taiwo Osipitan (SAN), Mr Tayo Oyetibo (SAN), Sir Newton Jibunoh, Mr Jimi Agbaje, Mr Tonye Cole, Dr Leke Pitan, Mr Fela Durotoye etc.

Edumark is also responsible for pioneering many positive changes in the education sector through the “Concerned Parents and Educators Network” (CPE).

Under the platform, grants have been given to indigent students. The group has also facilitated “The Gathering, a stakeholders discourse geared towards formulating policies and deliberations.

Mrs Yinka Ogunde, the Founder and CEO of Edumark expressed her thanks for the award and pointed that the organization is set to do even more in the years to come.
