More than 3000 final year secondary school students' would be gathered in Lagos to celebrate the 10th edition of WATFON; an event that has created the platform where students are mentored by role models.

With the theme for this year being "I Believe In Nigeria", the event holding on the 3rd of March, 2016, is expected to be a celebration of great expectation and hope about the future of our dear country.

In a statement released by Edumark organizers of the program, Biola Aroyehun, ‎the project coordinator, stated that instilling a positive believe in one’s country especially within the youthful population should be embraced by all.

“As a nation, there is no denying the fact that we have many issues that needs to be corrected. But in the midst of all that, it important we continue to hold onto a positive outlook for this country.” She enthused.  ‎

She explained that the passion that has kept the program running for 10 years has been the undying drive by the Edumark team and all WATFON role models to build a future whose leaders are nurtured with the right values.

Mrs Aroyehun also pointed out that some eminent personalities who have positively affected the Nigerian youth would be honoured by the WATFON class of 2016.

The very first edition of WATFON was chaired by the late Sir Gamaleil Onosode and the program has attracted other great leaders such as: General Yakubu Gowon, Sir Emeka Anyaoku, Emeritus Professor J. P. Clark, Chief Folake Solanke (SAN), Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Professor Akin Oyebode, Chief Ayo Oni etc.

WATFON 2016 would feature performances in: dance, drama, poetry, music and inspirational talks from the role models.
