Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arrested Mr. Ibrahim Abdulsalam, managing director of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) as well as Mr. Nurudeen Segun Agbolade, general manager, Finance, over alleged shady contract awards running to billions of naira.
The EFCC personnel arrived at the agency few minutes to 12 noon when the managing director was said to be heading to a meeting with the human resources department.
The EFCC officials did not leave until 9 pm when they took away the MD and the general manager.
It was gathered that some leaders had petitioned the EFCC over some contract awards running to billions of naira, including the contract for the total radar coverage of Nigeria otherwise known as TRACON.
Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC head of media and publicity, confirmed to our correspondent that there was an operation at the agency.
