Google, global tech-giant, has launched a peer-to-peer payment feature to its Gmail Android app users.
The feature allows to send and request money from anyone.
The payment feature, which has already been available to desktop users since 2013, will allow users to transact in the same way they send an attachment in an email message.
To make transaction, users need to link their card, tap on the attachment icon and then select whether they want to send or request money.
In a company’s blogpost, Google said: “Recipients are able to receive or request money right from the email itself—without having to install another payment app. They can even arrange for money they receive to go directly into their bank account.”
The P2P feature is currently available only within the US on Gmail on the web or Android.
