Mr Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been elected as the President, Association of African Central Bank Governors.
The election was conducted at the 39th ordinary meeting of the Assembly of Governors of the AACB which ended on Friday night in Abuja.
A communique issued at the end of the meeting stated that the Governor of Central Bank of Ghana, was elected alongside Emefiele, to run the affairs of the association from 2016 to 2017 as chairman of the West African sub-region.
