Nigeria’s expo and conference on technological advancement, eNNOVATE will hold on the 23rd and 24th of September, 2008.

Managed by Xlr8 and the Ken Nnamani Centre (KNC) for Leadership and Development, the focus of this year’s edition will be on ‘Leadership’ and how technology can be exploited for development.

Other focus areas include: Corruption and Crime Control, Evaluating Nigeria’s Broadband Strategy, Private Sector Importance in Funding e-Governance, Electoral Reforms, among others.

Ambassador J.U Ayalogu, executive director of KNC said technology has become very important to humanity across the globe.

"Modern governance revolves around the concept of connected cities – a trend in which government corporations are connected with each other virtually band in real-time, in a manner that they can interact not only with fellow institutions of governance but also with citizens," he quipped.

He intimated that eNNOVATE would examine the practicability of this near-ideal situation and also examine the technological tools that could help actualize it. Stakeholders’ understanding of issues that would help ensure that government became more responsible and accessible to the citizens is among the objectives of this year’s event.
